The Story & People Behind Chaipolitan
Where Love Of Chai And Community Are Brewed TogetherOur cafe is the first of its kind in Nashville, offering authentic chai and a gathering place for neighbors from every background to come experience our culture one kulhad at a time. All of our chai, herbal tea, juice, and coffee are made with fresh, high-quality ingredients to support the wellbeing of our guests. We source our Assam and Darjeeling tea from independent family farms in India because providing quality, authentic chai is at the heart of what we do. Each cup of tea served represents generations of recipes, knowledge, and passion – a blend of our cultural heritage and our personal traditions that we hold dear and are happy to share with you. Infused with in-house milled spices that warm the soul, every pot is brewed fresh throughout the day. We hope that our traditions become a part of your everyday rituals and that you look forward to each new cup as much as we do.
For us, chai is more than just a drink. It’s love, emotion, life. Brewing it and curing different mixes has been a tradition in our family that has passed through many generations. Chai has always been ingrained in our life–steaming cups at the breakfast table, a new blend to try in the evening, and kettles of chai to welcome guests. No matter the occasion, chai was always at the center, connecting us. So when we visited a relative’s farm in Darjeeling where we got to see their entire process and then make our own brew, we both knew that we had to bring this special tradition that has meant so much to us, back home to our Nashville community.
We are both so excited to share our passion of chai with you and can’t wait to see you at Chaipolitan!
Sincerely,
